Another busy week for the Obsidian plugin ecosystem. According to ObsidianStats, there were 5 new plugins and 71 plugin updates during the week of March 22-28.

Some notable new plugins:

1. Calendar Bases - Turns Obsidian Bases results into a calendar view so notes with date properties can be viewed in a month layout. You can drag items to reschedule them and the plugin updates the frontmatter to match.

2. Graphic Organizer - Creates a visual tree showing folders and files on a zoomable canvas, giving you a bird’s-eye view of your vault structure.

3. Synaptic View - Turns a note into a configurable dashboard that opens the files, web pages, journals and calendar views you need most — without building a manual homepage.

4. Kanban Bases View - Turns an Obsidian Base into a kanban board where notes are grouped into columns from any chosen property, and you can move cards between columns with drag and drop.

Capacities dropped Release 60 with a redesigned sidepanel that makes it faster to pull up related content while you work.

Key highlights:

1. A static sidebar on the right with quick access to search, AI chat, and backlinks.

2. You can open any object in the sidepanel to see its full content without leaving your current page — works across all object types, including object dashboards.

3. You can stack up to three tabs in the right side panel by dragging tabs into the dedicated area at the bottom.

4. New shortcut: Cmd + Shift + Right Arrow (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow (Windows) to toggle the side panel.

TANA

• Tana Outliner / New Tana - Two Weeks On

It has been about two weeks since the big announcement about Tana’s product split. For those catching up: Tana (as we know it) has become Tana Outliner, while a new product simply called “Tana” is being built around collaboration, meetings, and AI.

The dust seems to be settling a bit in the community. The Tana Outliner is still being maintained and the devs have been active on the Slack community. The new Tana is now in preview for existing customers, with early integrations for Google Calendar, Outlook, GitHub, Slack, Linear, Jira, and more. Enterprise features (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA compliance) are expected soon.

As I mentioned last time, I remain cautiously optimistic but concerned that maintaining two products is a big ask. Time will tell whether the meeting-focused new Tana finds its audience.

• Recent Tana AMA

The recent Tana AMA is now available on the blog, including details about what the focus will be for Outliner’s development in the next few months. There will be another Tana Current in April where the team will give an update on both new Tana and Outliner.

Logseq

The Logseq DB version remains in beta while the new mobile app (iOS) and RTC (Real-Time Collaboration) are in alpha. The devs continue to work on things behind the scenes, but there has not been a major public-facing update this week.

I continue to watch and wait for something significant to report here.

V 0.40.1 (April 2, 2026)

1. Task migration undo blocked immediately after Migrate Incomplete Tasks is processed to prevent accidental data loss.

2. Git sync last synced time now appears as relative time (e.g., “20 minutes ago”).

3. In Views, when a tags-based filter is applied, an info banner indicates that only tags in properties are considered in the results.

4. Various bug fixes including issues with the Ask Octarine model download screen and stats display.

Octarine continues to ship at an impressive pace. Two releases in two days is not bad at all.

Workflowy’s March update brought a nice addition: Email to Workflowy. You can now email thoughts, notes, or links straight to Workflowy without opening the app. You get a unique email address for key nodes like Today or Inbox.

The update also includes:

1. Themes for all users (not just Pro).

2. Further improvements to Calendar functionality.

Between the calendar sync from last time and now email capture, Workflowy is steadily adding useful input channels.

• New Homepage

Capacities has completely reworked their landing page to give it a fresh look and update and improve the product and marketing pages!

The new landing page is much simpler and we decided to remove some content that was outdated or did not really reflect the product anymore. We’ve also improved our communication around what Capacities is and explaining the product better.

TANA

• Tana Change of Direction

This week, Tana announced that they are planning something new:

1. Tana (as we know it) will become Tana Outliner

2. Tana (new) will pivot into something very akin to Notion with some/most (?) capabilities of Tana Outliner, and with a focus on meetings and collaboration. Basically, going after enterprises, where Tana can earn its keep.

The Devs say they will maintain the Tana Outliner, but time will tell - very difficult to keep up with 2 products when you want to focus attention on the new toy. Time will very much tell what will happen.

There was a bit of a fiasco with the naming convention and app changes before users could absorb what changed, but that seems to have been overcome.

My thoughts:

Personally, I think there will be another pivot coming soon. I think they will realise that the Tana (new) with a focus on meetings will not be for everyone - the company I work for, for example, would never allow it. Most corporates are locked into Microsoft, so you are limiting yourself to start-ups or a few that are willing to try something completely new. The other issues I see:

1. You are giving the meeting content to AI to process - not everyone wants this

2. You are basically recording every meeting - not every meeting/attendee wants this

The good news is that for those who want to keep using Tana Outliner (Tana Old), you can, just keep in mind that this is very much the secondary product now though.

I hope I am wrong with the above, as I like Tana and the team behind it, but it seems like a case of chasing the money.

Logseq

I am afraid that of late it is becoming really difficult to find anything new that is happening on Logseq. Yes the devs are working on things and improving the db version etc. but there has been no meaningful update from the team on what they are doing.

On top of it all, there are more and more posts like this, Preparing a Logseq graph for migration to Obsidian — what should I watch out for? due to the complete uncertainty and critical bugs not being fixed.

Those on Discord love and praise the DB version, but even from the diehards you can start to see some discontent.

At this point, I really do wonder if there is anything left in the tank for Logseq. I hope I am wrong.

Octarine

Octarine now offers a 7-day free trial — try out all Pro features before purchasing a license. New installs are automatically onboarded on the trial while existing users can opt-in whenever they wish to start it.

Split Panes

• The inactive panes now have reduced opacity, so it’s easier to see which editor/pane you’re using in split view.

• Action buttons in the tab bar only appear for the active pane.

Command Bar

• The current note’s name is displayed similar to a section header, and is the first set of actions available in the command bar.

• Two new actions — Copy Content and Copy Content with Properties — let you quickly copy a note’s markdown to the clipboard, with or without its frontmatter properties. These are also available in the note breadcrumb’s more options dropdown.

Performance

• Improved filesystem sync performance.

• Fixed memory leaks.

• Embedding indexing now only runs when you’re actively using Ask Octarine, rather than continuously in the background.

• Improved performance of the file tree for larger workspaces.

• Feature: Added a citation tooltip. When hovering over a citation cluster
  in your documents with your mouse, this will generate a small bibliography of
  just the items contained in the citation cluster and display it using the
  tooltip. This allows you to quickly check which item you cited exactly.

• Feature: The Custom CSS editor now offers autocomplete assistance (#6226).

• Feature: Added dedicated math code block syntax highlighting to add
  MathTeX to files without rendering (#6226).

• Feature: You can now close all standalone/root files as well as all
  workspaces from a new file manager context menu that opens via right-click
  onto the section headers or with a click on the corresponding button. In
  addition, you can collapse all folders with a simple click (#6209).

• Feature: You can now manually change the sorting of your workspaces. By
  default, Zettlr automatically sorts your workspaces by name. However,
  sometimes you may wish to change the ordering. To do so, use the new file
  manager context menu and select “Sort workspaces…”. This will open a popover
  that allows you to change the workspace ordering using drag and drop. As soon
  as you overwrite the sort order manually, this will disable automatic sorting
  from here on. Newly opened workspaces will simply be appended at the end of
  the list of open workspaces. To re-enable automatic sorting of your
  workspaces, use the new setting in the file manager preferences, or click the
  corresponding button in the sort popover.

Tabs Rework

1. Working with multiple tabs is now easier than ever - we added scroll buttons to navigate through tabs when many are open, as well as a new tabs menu to easily switch context.

2. The tabs menu appears when there are multiple open tabs in a space, featuring tab search, re-ordering (by dragging) and fast closing of tabs as well as changing the current tab. It can either be accessed via the mouse or its global shortcut: ⌘/Ctrl + ⇧ + ↑.

TANA

• Tana - New AI Models

There’s been some new models dropping lately, and we’re now making them available in Tana:

• Systems Lab #4: Agent Delegation

Thus far this season, we’ve looked at using MCP to help design your Tana system and to drive it (capture into it). In this next session, we’re moving one step further downstream: how to automatically sort incoming content into the right context and hand it to the right agent to do something useful with it.

We’ll focus on two skills:

1. Route: capture anything to a single inbox and categorise it into the right place.

2. React: have an agent or subagent take action on that content, given its specific context.

• Logseq in Obsidian, solved! Maximum text on tiny window!

OP posted a bit of a solution to working with Logseq and Obsidian side by side - This enables Logseq’s infinite nesting by using “indent distance” line numbers on the side with colours for ease of use. The zoom plugin focus’ on one “indent distance” without indent space squishing the text right with the bonus of even more nesting on screen than Logseq, in Obsidian! Collapsing helps too.

• The chat landing page has been redesigned with a centered prompt box and compact suggested prompts below — a cleaner starting point for your conversations.

• The prompt box now supports inline @ mentions — type @ to search and reference specific notes or folders directly in your prompt, with styled mention chips that appear in both the input and the chat query bubble.

• The Ask / Create toggle has been removed. Octarine now intelligently determines the appropriate action for each query without requiring a mode switch.

Editor

• Select text and type a bracket or quote character ((, [, {, ", ', backslash) to automatically wrap the selection with the matching pair. This can be toggled in Settings > Editor.

• Toggle task checkboxes on and off with Ctrl/CMD + Enter — no need to click the checkbox.

Performance

• Switching between notes and tabs no longer causes the properties panel to flicker — the panel now updates in place instead of fully unmounting and remounting.

• Splitting or moving tabs is now instant — pane cleanup runs synchronously, eliminating empty tab bars and zombie panes that could briefly appear.

• Coming from Notion, need advice on how to set up Logseq for my needs.

Hello, as the title says, I used to use Notion for PKM + Task Management + Habit tracking + and a few other things. However, I decided to go down the privacy rabbit hole and ditched the proprietary app notion for a privacy-friendly alternative, and my search ended up taking me to Logseq. Now, I decided to try to use and understand it before making this post, and gotta say I loved the default Journal and whiteboard feature, never knew I needed those so much.

I’m learning a lot of different things (Python, accounting software, Linux and more), and I like to keep the resources, references for things like shortcuts and stuff and topic-based notes. I’m used to notions folders-based structure - <Active Goals - Goal Name(Python) - Resources, notes, references, development tools>. How do I go from this structure to a flow that makes sense in Logseq, is easy to navigate through, frictionless and not overwhelming? I’d really appreciate any advice I can get for this. 1. Better mentions: We improved the accuracy of “Mentions” at the bottom of a page. It now only matches full word phrases instead of partial phrases. So a note “Par” will not show mentions of “Paris”.

2. Better date detection in task titles: You can now mention “June” in your title without it being parsed to June 1 as a date.

3. It is now possible to keep submenus open even when moving the mouse out of them by clicking on the corresponding parent item.

Alex is a long-time community member and contributor, and he delivered something that has been asking for for a long time: a GitHubstyle visualisation tracker

Tana Tracker Viz — generate GitHub-style contribution graphs from any Tana node, triggered from Claude Code via MCP.
Works with three node types out of the box:

1. Tracking nodes (habits, supplements, etc.) → binary purple graph, streak stats

2. Person nodes → intensity green graph, activity breakdown by type (meetings, calls, tasks), could probably do a lot more with this view but I like the longer term view of activity with a particular person and the context of those activities.

3. Project nodes → intensity green graph, category breakdown (tasks, invoices, documents, etc.). This one was much more resource intensive due to the way Claude found the references as child nodes and parsed the created date. There’s probably a more efficient way to do this one, but this is version 0.1

Lots of updates in AnyType V0.54, including:

Tabs

You can now open multiple Objects side by side in a tab bar, just like in a browser. Open any Object in a new tab from the context menu, with Cmd+Click / Ctrl+Click, or from Widgets.

Choose between two modes in Settings > Preferences: Contextual, where the tab bar appears only when you have more than one tab open, or Always visible.

Drag tabs to reorder them, pin important tabs to keep them in place, drag a tab out to open it in a new window, and return to your open tabs when you relaunch the app.

Op asks: Joplin as a main notes taking app?

I’ve set up Joplin with a local NAS running Joplin Server, syncing across all my devices (two Linux PCs, a MacBook, iPad, and iPhone). So far, it works like a charm.

I’m now considering fully migrating from Apple Notes and making Joplin my main note-taking ecosystem.

Has anyone here already made that switch? What has your long-term experience been using Joplin as your primary notes app? Any pitfalls, regrets, or things you wish you had known before migrating?

thymercli is a small open-source companion app that provides an MCP server for connecting AI agents to Thymer, along with a command-line interface. It runs locally on your machine and connects to Thymer in your browser or the upcoming desktop app, so you can just use it in combination with the existing end-to-end encrypted sync and real-time collaboration of Thymer.

• Power of Plugins

While I am still in the camp of “core functionality should be part of the app”, the power and ability to play around with plugins in Thymer is amazing. Last night, fired up Claude Code and played around building a graph view for Thymer. I am sure this will be implemented as core functionality in due course, but I love that it allows me to see my notes in different ways.

• Obsidian Just Won

Nick posted a video on Obsidian and its ability to allow you to “activate” AI on your notes, but also giving you the opportunity to not. You are in control.

While other note-taking services are scrambling to integrate AI into their software, Obsidian users just keep writing. In this video, we’re covering why Obsidian is winning the note wars in 2026, and why I predict it will continue to do so for years to come. Watch to the end for my tips to stay ahead with Obsidian.

1. I finally gave up on tasks in Obsidian. What are you using? Obsidian is my favourite app. I have my whole like in notes in it. For the year and a half since using it I have been trying to use it for tasks, and I think I have used all the methods (dataview, default tasks, TaskGenius and others). I do need a task app and am wondering what folks are using. If there is something that integrates with Obsidian, but something that works well is what I need now.

2. Beancount for Obsidian - A personal finance plugin with plain-text accounting - I have been working on a plugin that brings Python’s beancount accounting tool to Obsidian.

Like many people, I’ve been going back and forth between Capacities and Obsidian. And I’ve been doing this every week for the last 2 years. It’s safe to say that I’m crazy, but I can’t quite explain why I prefer one over the other.

What draws me to Obsidian is mainly that it’s much more powerful with AI and works better on my Boox tablet. And I use Canvas a lot.

But Capacities has so much less friction and organizes things so much better... The query feature is very powerful, the UX is functional, the two-way linked properties are very useful, etc.

• The “Create” flow is now divided into three options:

  • Create Fresh: Sets up a brand new workspace folder on your device, complete with a Welcome note and a Daily folder.

  • Open Existing: Allows you to select and open an existing folder containing markdown files as your workspace.

  • Import from Git: Clones a remote Git repository to your device and opens it as a workspace.

• Custom themes are also copied over to the new workspace if Copy workspace settings is selected.

• When you’re editing or creating a theme, changes to the colour palette are recorded in a history. This allows you to undo specific colour adjustments without having to cancel your entire editing session.

• A new Settings → Editor toggle allows you to invert the copy shortcuts for formatting — choose whether CMD/Ctrl + C to copy plain text or formatted markdown.

• The rename selection now uses the mark background colour for better visual consistency with your theme.

• Handle responses from theme generation models gracefully, even when they do not conform to the requested JSON schema.

• Zooming in/out now also scales the editor text sizes as well.

Workflowy

There was quite a bit of chat on Reddit about users complaining about recent changes in how things are done in Workflowy. It appears that Workflowy has changed its policy for node quota.

• Deleting a node, even a newly created one, will not update the limit. If I accidentally pasted 500 notes and then deleted them, it does not matter. My quota is still exhausted by those 500 nodes.

• Constant prompt to subscribe to Pro on the main window

Some interesting discussions on this:

1. Is this the worst update Workflowy has ever done?

2. Deleting nodes no longer updates the node quota.

Many users are suggesting that, if the tool is worth it, upgrading is the way forward.

• Thymer Alpha → Beta?

The main milestones the devs want to achieve before they release the Thymer Beta are:

1. Mobile in a tolerable state

2. Desktop app

3. New signups can use Thymer for 10 minutes without running into any major bugs/glitches

Late February 2026 is being targeted as the date of achieving the above, which I think is great news. 2 months or so of closed alpha testing to sort out the critical bugs and get mobile-ready, and then let the masses in. Good Job.

Phild has been working on an Importer plugin. An import plugin that brings your data into Thymer from multiple sources with a streamlined interface. Currently supports CSV & Markdown (specifically trained on Obsidian).

Calendar and kanban views for bases are definitely something I look forward to, together with the ever-elusive PDF annotation.

• Stop Losing Saved Content: My Obsidian Discovery System

Paul, look at The New Discovery Vault, which helps you capture and filter content from YouTube, Reddit, articles, and more. Instead of losing interesting resources in a digital graveyard, this system automatically scores and organises them so you only focus on what matters.

I think too much is said on capturing and not enough on retrieving and discovering, so I enjoyed Paul’s video.

The team announced a change to the feedback process:

We’ve just moved our feedback board from Canny to Frill. Here’s why.

Canny sunset the legacy plan we were on. The current plans are significantly more expensive and not something we can justify. We liked Canny and would have preferred to stay, but this change forced the move. Frill is the best alternative we found.

Feedback workflows should feel familiar: you can still submit ideas and issues via Feedback in the left sidebar.

• Power of Thymer Plugins

I think a cool thing about Thymer is how easy it is to transform the data to make it work for you. I love seeing my weekly journals side by side to glance at what I was up to, what happened and any key takeaways. With Thymer, a few prompts, I was able to achieve just that and published it here in case anyone wants the same.

Would I want this to be a core feature? Maybe, but with the power of Claude Code or whatever other tool you use, a few prompts, some copy and pasting, you can tweak the plugin to make it your own.

For example, you may not want a 3-day view, but a 5-day view. Simple - copy the code, ask your LLM to amend the view from 3 to 5 days, paste it back in, test, and you are done.

Slowly, I think I am coming round to the idea of the plugin functionality - especially with relatively simple things like viewing my data in a different way that works for me. Join the unofficial Discord for more plugins (and themes).

A few questions this week have been around how to obtain access to test the new Logseq Sync for the DB version.

No longer broken - Fixed a bug where switching focus between the main window and a pop-out window could cause the wrong tab to become active.

Developers - API: Exposed new SecretStorage and a complementary SecretComponent for plugins to integrate with the secret storage. The secret storage is a new opt-in way for plugins to save keys that might be shared across multiple plugins. For example, a Google API token, or an OpenAI key. Instead of requiring users to copy-paste the same keys into multiple plugin settings, plugins can now fetch keys from a shared collection of secrets identified by a user-provided name.

1.11.4 Mobile

No longer broken

• Long-pressing on a file in the File Explorer now shows the modified time and created time on their own lines.

• The file menu now shows a new menu item Copy path › from vault folder.

• iOS: Fixed an issue where devices running iOS 26.2+ would cause tooltips to appear (and never disappear) when interacting with elements.

• iPad: Fixed the window traffic lights (Close, Maximise, Minimise) appearing over top of the app interface.

1. Expand state will now be included when you publish nodes

2. Do Ctrl/Cmd+Arrow down to expand all in the node (before opening preview)

4. Re-publishing will update the expand state.

Luhmann updated the Unofficial FAQ and moved it from the forum to Logseq Publish, and it looks beautiful!

The new FAQ page. Luhmann plans to update it more regularly now, starting with a reorganisation.

• Flashcard Updated UX

The flashcards feature is being updated in the Logseq DB version. The Devs recently merged the branch into the main code, so we shall see how this works. It should allow for:

Enhanced the flashcard user experience by adding automatic query property management, fixing critical bugs, and improving the UI for managing card sets.

Key changes:

1. Automatic creation of query property blocks when tagging with #Query or subclasses via pipeline

2. Fixed critical bug in api-insert-new-block! where the end? parameter had inverted conditional logic

3. Added the ability to create new #Cards blocks directly from the flashcard modal with a plus button

• Tag-scoped property choices

In addition to the above, the devs are working on a tag-scoped property choices, enabling property choices to be restricted to specific tags/classes or hidden from certain tags.

Key changes:

• Added two new properties: :logseq.property/choice-classes (to scope choices to specific tags) and :logseq.property/choice-exclusions (to hide global choices for specific tags)

• Implemented filtering logic to show only relevant choices based on block tags

• Added UI controls for managing scoped choices and exclusions in the property configuration panel

Tangent just released v0.11! This update added:

• Support for embedding audio, video, and PDFs.

• Display of Mermaid Diagrams.

• Full customization of keyboard shortcuts.

• A new icon for MacOS Tahoe.

Tangent is a free and open source note writing & PKM tool. It works on top of your folder of plain text markdown files and plays nice with other tools! Thymer

• Taking Shape

The closed alpha launch only happened about 10 days or so ago, but it already feels like so much has happened in the meantime.

1. The devs have been very intently listening to users’ feedback in Discord

2. Several bug fixes have already been implemented, and more have been identified for the team.

3. There are ongoing discussions about the outline mode and tags and their functionality. Very nice to see the devs taking different perspectives on board and considering these.

For people who have still not gotten in yet, fear not, the devs also want to get the app into more people’s hands and even commented, “A bunch of bugs we want to fix and a few things we want to add, but also really looking forward to moving to beta and inviting a whole bunch of more people”.

Given the speed at which things are going, I am sure the app will move to the beta phase soon enough. And although the devs will hate me, if you have not already received an invite, keep an eye on Twitter, make sure you follow @wcools and @jdvhouten and ask them for an invite, as they are generally online responding to messages. If you don’t have Twitter, join the Discord as invites are also published there.

• First impressions

Daniel did a First Impressions: Why Thymer Could Be the Next Big Thing in Note-Taking blog post.

In the blog post, he talks about how “Every year, I see new applications. Some are great, some are good, some are terrible, and some are interesting. Every couple of years, I come across an application that gains a lot of hype and is so good that I think, This will be one of the big ones. Apps like Tana and Anytype, which I got to test out early, fall into that category. I was so excited about those apps in early 2023, and I’ve been waiting for another app to generate as much hype as those two. I think I’ve finally found it.”

Definitely worth checking out if you are interested in Daniels’s thoughts on Thymer.

For those wondering about the power of Thymer, you can go easy, as well as hard…

1. Easily implement wide view mode with a few clicks (Claude and JD, with assistance for the wide mode code).

2. riclib created an AI chat plugin that can turn Thymer into an AI-native workspace. Context aware and can use multiple providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama and other custom models. Amazing.

A bit quiet in the Tana world this week with most people on vacation.

• Getting content OUT of Tana

OP asks, Is there a secret rune, known only to insiders of the order, that magically releases clean sentences and paragraphs?

Tana is probably the best app for note capture out there – helped by node structure, excellent voice transcription and supertags.

All good at this point – until you come to get a note or a portion out of Tana and into another editor. (A bit of context – I am a writer and I like to produce clean copy that builds into a bigger piece of writing.) I don’t want bullets and I especially don’t want spurious headings and values left over from Tana’s AI.

• Charting data in Logseq

With logseq-DB and its ability to introduce a fixed schema and the underlying new data layer really opens up many possibilities. One of them is the ability to render charts really easily, compared to the MD version.

This is nicely showcased by HKGNP, who updated their chart-rendering plugin to make full use of the DB mode. You can find this in the Logseq plugins.

• Thymer really does exist

Christmas definitely came early, as just before the bells rang in, the devs started issuing invites to people when they announced the Thymer Alpha.

If you have not already received an invite, keep an eye on your Twitter DMs / emails and also make sure you follow @wcools and @jdvhouten.

Be sure to also follow the unofficial Discord (and subreddit). The devs are active in Discord and posting responses as well as the occasional invites.

The reason for the limited opening is so that the devs can fix the most critical issues first and not be bombarded with everyone posting about the same thing. They know the limitations of invite-only access, and I am sure they are working hard to get to the next stage as soon as possible.

• Impressed with Tana + question regarding historical database of dates

OP posted: My main use case for Tana (and PKM tools in general) is for researching and writing, academically and otherwise. I therefore read a lot, take notes on this literature and use those notes for writing my own texts. When taking notes, I try to always make pages/nodes for mentioned dates, like [[1970]] or [[May [[1970]]]].

I’ve began doing this during my Roam Research days and it works reasonably well. By opening the node/page of a certain year or month, I can get a quick overview of different events mentioned in different books and articles.

This PR adds automatic database backup functionality for desktop (Electron) users. When databases are saved on desktop, they are now automatically backed up with intelligent retention policies.

At the same time, it disables internal Git backup for db graphs since it’s confusing and not reliable compared to hourly/daily backup. Users can still use external Git to backup.

An updated version of the Raycast integration went live this week. It includes many improvements such as:

1. Offline support: The Raycast extension now communicates with the Capacities desktop app via a communication token. This means you can use the extension even if you’re offline. Search is still via the server but it’s planned to also be available offline in the future.

2. Create Task: You can now create tasks in Capacities from Raycast.

3. Search Details: The search results now show the details of the content in a more readable format.

4. Better Open Behavior: “Open in App” as default action for opening content in Capacities, “Open in Browser” as fallback action.

2. Custom supertag colors - set your own colors for any supertag in the configuration panel. Choose colors that work well in both light and dark modes with the new color picker. Access via Supertag configuration.

7. New AI model: Gemini 3 Flash. Optimized for speed and cost-efficiency while maintaining quality responses.

8. Improved copy/paste: Smart copy as text or reference, right-click paste on empty nodes, duplicate nodes (Cmd+Shift+D), and copy actual URLs from link nodes. All available in right-click context menu.

A couple of updates were released this week to the desktop and mobile versions, including:

1. Added icons to settings sections.

2. Markdown links are now supported in text and list properties. Internal links are automatically updated when the destination file is moved or renamed.

3. Daily notes: The daily note format can be selected from a list of predefined formats.

4. Attempting to rename a file to include unsafe characters (such as ‘#’ or ‘]’) will only result in a warning.

5. When importing files (e.g. via drag and drop), Obsidian now automatically strips out invalid characters from the filename.

6. Added a “Copy path” submenu to the file context menu.

7. Lock Screen and Control Center widgets let you quickly Create a new note, Open a specific note, Open daily note, Open search, or Open Obsidian.

8. Home Screen widgets let you Create a note, View a note, or Open your daily note.

9. New widgets: Open Note, New Note, Search, Daily Note, Open Obsidian. You can add multiple widgets of the same type to open different files, or trigger different search queries. Configure them by long-pressing the widget.

3. Fixed an issue where many objects were duplicated unexpectedly, causing problems with backlinks and data consistency. This resolves situations where duplicate copies of people, areas, companies, or projects appear without proper links.

4. Resolved a critical bug that caused nearly all items in the database to be duplicated after the last release, making the app difficult to use. This fix addresses multiple copies of the same item and their broken connections.

There were a few updates (Catalyst) this week, which included several bug fixes and qol tweaks, such as:

1. Canvas: Fixed YouTube embeds not loading.

2. Bases: Fixed formula suggestions being cut off.

3. Bases: Table view now supports pasting single-column data (e.g. from Excel or Google Sheets) into multiple rows when multiple rows are selected.

4. Right-to-left languages: Fixed cursor positioning incorrectly when clicking at the end of a line. Also fixed several regressions with the interface, including the position of the calendar icon on date inputs.

5. Bases: Fixed filter menu going off screen when filter contained a long text property or long list property value.

6. Bases: Fixed formula autocomplete results getting cut off in the Filters menu.

OP posted a message of warning to others about how not to (hopefully) lose date.

I want to share a painful experience, hoping it saves someone else from losing their data.

When I first discovered Obsidian, I immediately started moving all my notes into it. I had seen posts from people saying their vaults got deleted, but I told myself: “That kind of thing never happens to me, I’ve never lost data.” Yeah… that was my first mistake.

My second mistake: I like to keep things tidy, so I don’t install apps in their default locations. I thought it would be fine to keep both the Obsidian installation and my vault in the same folder.

• Logseq makes me Nervous

OP Posted: Just came across another note in my synced Logseq notes where I opened a collapsed list, and it was empty. I go back into the version history and can see it there but it makes me really nervous that logseq appears to be randomly wiping information i have spent years collecting. There is no way I deleted this myself.

Has anyone else found this issue? Is there any advice on how to resolve it?
